Don't be the "Lazy Dreamer Of No Profit"

This morning I was reading in Ecclesiastes Chapter 10 in  v18

"By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through."

In this verse we read about slothfulness, and being lazy. It goes on to say that if a person is lazy that the building he is to take care of will decay and if he does not keep up with its repair it will drop through and fall down.  A persons life can be this way if there foundation is not Jesus Christ

In chapter 11 v4 of the same book "He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap."  Solomon tells us about a day dreamer who also because of his lazy hand will not work, and will therefore not reap any benefits.  In Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

As Christians  we can fall into this trap of lazy day dreaming in our walk with Christ.  Looking at anything and everything the world has to offer and forgeting about the work for God we need to be doing.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" we are the temple of God.  So knowing this we have a responseability to take care of it and not let it fall to ruin or decay.  The truth of God's word needs to be sharp in our mind so our life will be a good testimony of what he has done for us.

Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."  Leting the light of Jesus Christ shine in your life is going to be work, but its rewarding and worth it.

So my Challenge to you today is QUIT dreaming about the world and the useless dreams it offers, and pick up the hammer and nails and start building your life for Jesus Christ.

"Keep reading and remember to tell someone about Jesus."
